Estée Lauder Hong Kong, by Estée Lauder (Hong Kong) Limited (“we”, “us” or “our”) collects personal information (“Information”) about you. The personal information we collect includes but is not limited to your name, address, email address, birthday, gender, language, communication channel preferences, skin type, skin conditions (sensitivities or allergies) and medications for the same, skin concerns, and/or skincare regimes, that may be deemed sensitive personal information under applicable laws (collectively, “Information”). In order to use and process your Information, we are required to notify you of the types of Information to be collected, the proposed purposes of use and the parties to whom we may transfer the personal data. The provision of your Information is voluntary. However, please note that if you do not provide us with your Information, we will not be able to provide you with all of our services as outlined here in.
Your Information may be used for various purposes, including, without limitation, to communicate with you, to use your name and contact details to send you promotional materials (with your consent), provide services to you, process your payment transactions and/or gift card transactions; create and manage your account; respond to your inquiries, tailor ads on our website, social media platforms and elsewhere to your interests and history with us; administer your participation in loyalty programs, contests, special events, sweepstakes, surveys and other offers; operate, evaluate and improve our business (including developing new products and services, enhancing and improving our services, managing our communications, analyzing our products, performing accounting, auditing and other internal functions); comply with applicable legal requirements, industry standards and our policies; conduct data analytics and customer relations management programs. To avoid duplication and ensure accuracy of your Information, we may periodically conduct data cleansing, linking or merging of our records, either internally or through our service providers.
We may also use third-party platforms, including platforms operated by social networks, such as Google, Facebook and Pinterest, to show interest-based ads. We may convert your email address, telephone number or other information into a unique value which can be matched by those third parties with a user on their platform or with other data they may have collected from you. This matching allows interest-based ads to be delivered on those platforms. To opt-out of these ads, you must change your advertising preferences on those third-party platforms. These platforms may have their own privacy notices or policies, which we strongly suggest you review. We intend to use and transfer your name and contact details for direct marketing purposes and cannot do so without your written consent. If you consent to such use and transfer, we may market the following classes of goods and services directly to you: beauty, skincare, make-up, hair care and hair styling products, fragrances, candles, tea and tea bags (“Goods and Services”). Direct marketing communications may be sent to you through various channels, including by telephone, post, email, SMS, through mobile apps, online apps, social media platforms and other online means.
If required for any of the foregoing reasons, we may disclose your Information to our affiliates (including across different brands owned by us and/or our affiliates now or in the future), licensees, joint venture partners and/or service providers, who may be located overseas(including Singapore, South Korea, and the United Kingdom), and they may send you direct marketing in relation to the Goods and Services.
We may retain and use your Information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes set out above. You may limit the processing of your Information, or request access to or correction of your Information at any time by submitting such request to us by email to our data protection officer at cs@esteelauder.com.hk or telephone at 31014915. Any inquiries or complaints with respect to your Information should also be channeled to us in this manner.
